Journey into Psychotherapy and Trauma Specialization
As Tina’s interest in personal growth deepened, she pursued further education in psychological approaches, becoming an NLP Coach and exploring trauma recovery. This led to a significant career change, as Tina moved away from shipping to focus on psychotherapy. She completed a four-year psychotherapist education, specializing in shock trauma and becoming a Teacher in Somatic Psychotherapy and Defense Mechanisms.
Tina’s professional journey has been shaped by her personal experiences. The sudden loss of her mother and her own battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2021 were pivotal moments that deepened her commitment to her work. These experiences have given Tina a unique perspective on resilience and healing, which she integrates into both her personal and professional life.
During her cancer treatment, Tina recognized a gap in resources that addressed the emotional and psychological challenges of cancer. She realized that people affected by cancer, patients, survivors, and caregivers, all needed support, direction, and the right resources to guide them through their journey.

Tina Tage is an exceptional teacher, belonging to that rare group of individuals who genuinely practices what she teaches. This made the learning experience truly unique for me, as I not only learned the theory but also saw it seamlessly applied in our classroom interactions. It was an incredible experience. Despite the challenges of the COVID era, which made us a difficult group, Tina succeeded in bringing the entire class together. She created an atmosphere that made our classes feel effortless and organic, as if everything was unfolding naturally. Under her guidance, we became open to each other’s fears, supportive of one another, and able to give each other space.
Tina conducted a series of training sessions for our prison guards, focusing on self-reflection and effective communication. Her approach was centered on understanding defense mechanisms and how our past experiences shape our responses. As the manager, I was particularly impressed by Tina's ability to address challenging topics such as "the importance of body language and the impact of betrayal." She successfully engaged a group with a traditionally macho culture, encouraging them to reflect on human and task-related issues. This was no small feat, but Tina captured their attention through well-organized theme days, making them more aware of their own actions and behaviors—especially with her emphasis on the 90/10 rule.
